1. Our approach
Apps For Privacy is built around a simple idea: we should collect as little information as possible and we should not build products around tracking, ads, or data selling.
We do not sell personal information. We do not run a cross-site advertising or behavioral profiling model on this website. We are not trying to turn your fishing history, location, or product usage into marketing inventory.

2. Information we may collect
In most cases, we only receive information when you choose to give it to us or when it is needed to operate the service.
- Contact information and message contents if you use our contact form or email us directly.
- Basic technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, and request logs used for delivery, reliability, and security.
- Limited anti-abuse or verification data if we use tools such as Cloudflare Turnstile to protect forms from spam or automated misuse.
- Limited subscription or purchase-status information from Apple or Google if a product is sold through the App Store or Google Play and we need that information to provide access or support.

3. App data and permissions
Some apps may let you create records such as catches, notes, photos, saved places, or similar product content. Some features may also ask for optional permissions such as location, camera, or photo access.
We request those permissions only when they are relevant to the feature you are using. We do not use those permissions as a pretext for ad-tech tracking or broad behavioral profiling.
If a feature stores user-created content with our service, we use that information to provide the feature itself, not to sell data or build advertising profiles.

4. How we use information
We use information only for limited business and product purposes.
- To operate, secure, and maintain the website and apps.
- To respond to support, privacy, partnership, or product questions.
- To verify purchases or subscriptions and help with restore or support requests.
- To prevent abuse, spam, fraud, or unauthorized access.
- To improve reliability, fix bugs, and maintain the quality of the service.

5. What we do not do
Our products are not built around advertiser incentives.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use this site as an ad-tech tracking property.
- We do not intentionally build public discovery loops around private spots or private logs.
- We do not use your information to create advertising profiles about you.

6. Sharing and service providers
We may share limited information with service providers that help us host, secure, distribute, or support the website and apps. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
If a product is sold through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, those platforms handle payment processing and much of the subscription and billing workflow.
Policy section
7. Retention, security, and children’s privacy
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system can promise perfect security.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of applicable law.

8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.
